Why I was a police officer and now I tattoo
Sometimes you have to leave the safety of the familiar to find the freedom of creativity. Many of you know me as the person behind pmtsketch , but few know the path I took to get there.
Order vs. Chaos – How it all began
For years, my daily life was defined by uniform, discipline, and service in the police force. It was a secure job, but deep down there was this urge to create something lasting – not in files, but on skin.
Why the change?
The desire to give people a voice that transcends words was stronger than the security of civil servant status. For me, tattooing is about:
-
Individuality: Every person is unique, and their tattoo should be too.
-
Precision: I have retained my police-level accuracy – today I use it for fine-line and micro-realism.
-
Connection: Today I listen to understand stories, not to write reports.
